PEEK

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a thermoplastic polymer that is often used as an alternative to metal or other types of plastic. PEEK has a temperature resistance of up to 240°C and a special resistance to chemicals. In addition, PEEK is self-lubricating and can be recycled.
PEEK material is in particular demand in the aerospace and automotive industries, as parts made of PEEK poseess a high strength-to-weight ratio. PEEK is used in the medical industry because of its excellent biocompatibility. The resistance to chemicals makes PEEK suitable for oil and gas and food industries as well. PEEK material is mainly used as a support ring for seals, in rolling and plain bearings, as valve plates or as matrix material for composites. Additionally, Polyetheretherketone can be processed to compounds.
We offer PEEK powder & granules, PEEK semi-finished and finished parts.

PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) SF products can be processed to:

- Seals
- Valves
- Compressor components
- Turned parts
- Bearings
- Rolling bearings
- and much more.

In addition, PEEK monofilaments can be used for 3D printing. PEEK films are used in loudspeakers, as coating material and as insulation. Shrink tubings is also very well suited for insulating cables or for guiding gases.

BIEGLO offers various PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) SF products:

- Rods
- Tubes
- Sheets
- Foils
- Shrink tubings
- Monofilaments
- Multifilaments

PEEK Rods, tubes and sheets can also be supplied reinforced with carbon or glass fibers, with PTFE and modified with carbon fibers, PTFE and graphite. In addition, BIEGLO can also offer different colors for PEEK SF products.

PEEK powder and granules have the following applications:

- Extrusion of: sheets, rods and tubes, filaments and foils
- Injection molding of semi-finished and finished parts
- Hot compression moulding of semi-finished products
- Spincasting of large diameter pipes
- Compound production
- As matrix material for composites
- For electrical coating

BIEGLO offers PEEK granules and PEEK powders of different viscosities of virgin PEEK

On demand BIEGLO can also offer:

- Fine PEEK powder of different viscosities
- Ultra fine PEEK powder of different viscosities
- High filtered CoPEEK

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) belongs to the family of thermoplastics and is located at the very top of the polymer pyramid with a temperature resistance of up to 240 ° C. PEEK is known to be self-lubricating and as a thermoplastic, PEEK can also be recycled.

PEEK is used in the aerospace and automotive industries because of its low weight. Due to the very good Biocompatibility it is also used in the medical industry. In the oil & gas as well as in the food industry PEEK is applied because of its very good chemical resistance.

In these industries PEEK material is often used back-up rings for seals or as a plain bearing, and PEEK can also be used as a matrix material in composites.

PEEK finished parts might be:

- seals and gaskets
- gears
- bearings
- valves
- insulators
- connectors

In addition BIEGLO can produce parts according to customer drawings. Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) finished parts can also be produced using compounds with PTFE, carbon- or glassfibers.
