FAKUMA 2024

At FAKUMA 2024, BIEGLO will focus on high-performance polymers (HPP) for electrical and electronic applications. Together with an international team of experts, we look forward to presenting innovative solutions for the challenges of electromobility, aerospace and renewable energies.
At our stand we welcome technical specialists from Mitsui Chemicals and PBI Performance Products (USA), as well as our expert for semi-finished products and polyimides Dr Khan. The focus will be on:

•AURUM®, a thermoplastic polyimide
•PBI (polybenzimidazole) Celazole®,
•Meldin® from Saint Gobain, a thermosetting polyimide
•Our DEXNYL® PEEK specialities

These materials are specifically designed to overcome bottlenecks such as insufficient insulation and overheating while reducing weight in electrical systems.
AURUM® has emerged as a key product after being tested for its potential for future space technologies in a recent study by the NASA Glenn Research Centre in Ohio. In a white paper presented at the SAMPE conference in May 2024, NASA researchers emphasise the importance of thermoplastic polyimides for next-generation electrical cabling. The requirements for a continuous operating temperature of up to 200°C and the need to improve thermal management in high-performance motors are particularly emphasised.
PBI and Meldin® are also very important for the semiconductor industry; they have excellent PV values, minimal outgassing and low thermal expansion.
Coating media with HPPs: powder, dispersion or solution are also offered by BIEGLO.
PEEK film can be used for slot liners to improve fixation. PEEK is characterised by high heat resistance, low thermal expansion and low moisture absorption.

All products mentioned are 100% PFAS free.
